There is always room for one more stripy scarf or shawl. |
Seems like I started on that task a while ago. Stripes, stripes and more stripes. I cannot get enough of them.
Some of my collection of color experiments - also called scarves |
It just is. Stripes gives me the room I need to experiment with colors and even wear them after I have done it.
No swatch knitting, no wasted stitches on small patches to try something out.
Stripes is just what it is. Plain and simple. And yet they make a great statement and gives a color boost to anyone who wears them in bright colors.
Anyway, I just wanted to make another striped scarf and went for the ever returning pattern of mine, Lifelines.
I chose orange and red in wider stripes and turquoise and blue-green for smaller stripes. Really fun to knit. Just one more row. And another. And another.
I increased until 130 stitches and are now over half done. This is going to be a blessed easter. Where the stripes brighten up my days and keep my love for knitting just where it should be: In my heart.

A lot of stripes made into scarves just to see how the colors would look like together. |
